Twilio SMS
SMS from your Sender ID, from the same platform.
Some messages still belong in an SMS: appointment reminders, verification codes, delivery notices. Connect your Twilio account to MonoChat and your flows and apps send from your registered alphanumeric Sender ID. In the UAE a Sender ID is send-only, so replies go to WhatsApp.
Reminder: your appointment with Dr Hassan is tomorrow at 4:30 pm, Al Barsha branch. To change it, please call the clinic.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Short answers to the questions we hear most.
Can customers reply to the SMS?
Not to an alphanumeric Sender ID: a Sender ID channel is send-only. Give customers your WhatsApp number for replies.
What are the UAE rules for marketing SMS?
Under Twilio’s UAE guidelines, only registered Sender IDs are allowed, promotional Sender IDs carry the AD- prefix, promotional messages sent between 9 pm and 7 am are queued, and the body may not contain URLs, WhatsApp links or phone numbers. Our checklist covers the details.
Do health-related Sender IDs need anything extra?
Yes. Twilio asks for an approval letter from the UAE health authorities for health-related Sender IDs.
Which plans include it?
Every plan. The free Basic plan includes 1 channel; Growth (AED 440.70 a month) includes 1 channel and each extra channel is AED 110.18 a month, taxes included.
